In Your Own Words - What Does Change Mean To You

Published by truth2u under News, obama, politics Edit This

Change, a verb, an action word, as defined by Encarta Dictionary means to become or make different; variance from routine; to alter, modify, revolutionize, transform.

Obama is being criticized on everything he is trying to change even after running on a ticket of change and being voted into office on that platform. I am so sick of the whinnying, falsified, often irrational, accusations. Case in point is the recent accusations made to Robert Gibbs regarding the “staged” question and answer period at Press Conferences. The question arises as to how transparent is Obama if he “stages” Press Conferences. I responded, by comment, to this blog by saying:

“I’m not for sure but it seems to me that the Press Conferences are built on what the people want to know as suggested by the e-mails they get from the public. This is what Gibbs tried to explain - but no one was listening because like the little old lady said this is not the way it has always been. This statement verifies the change but it also demonstrates that people don’t really want change because change takes them away from the way “it has always been”.

Now I have watched these Press Conferences and I know that if given their “freedom” to ask questions reporters have a tendency to get ridiculous - some even ask the same questions asked a different way after the first question has been asked and answered.

I think the idea is to tap into what the majority of people writing in want to know and answering those questions at the Press Conference - you people do not want change even if it paid well. When anything happens differently, you are suspicious and critical.

I’m not saying Obama is doing everything right - he is just a man - but he is trying to do something different and people are breathing down his neck every step of the way. I am disgusted by the hypocrisy I see happening. You people do not accept change, you people want things to stay as they are, you people want to continue to do business as usual just like John McCain because anything else is just “not American”.

I hate to say it but as hard as I try to be forgiving sometimes I have to give people what they give me as a way of smacking them back to reality - reality never comes, just anger but I do it anyway if you push me to that point.

As I read some of the garbage that is said about Obama, I can not help but to hope you people get exactly what you keep accusing Obama of - but then again, Obama has shown he is not like me because he hired Hilary.”

Not only that, Obama has to listen to the idiotic words coming out of John McCain’s mouth regarding Iran. Again, I have to ask what McCain would have Obama do. With the words that have already been spoken by Obama, Iran has taken offense. Is our “moral obligation” to the people of Iran more important than the moral obligation to the people of America, who are militarily spread too thin already? Can we financially afford to be at war with anybody else?

Do we risk the violence and hate that is already being threatened by Iran and North Korea just to appease McCain and his bully mentality? What can be gained by any further denouncements, regarding a matter that is best dealt with inside of Iran?

People are in denial about the existence of “global warming or climate change” people are scared about the spending of money in an effort to create more jobs, people do not want to be taxed to help pay for anything even though it is your responsibility as a “citizen” to contribute and has been since the days of the Roman Empire.

Everybody wants health care but no one wants to make any steps towards getting it – unless it comes in the form they want it to come. You people act like the economy will just magically turn itself around even though it is obvious that there is no such thing as an “economy fairy”.

My credit card is maxed out maybe even over the limit right now because of my lack of a full time job but I know that I have a job coming and if not that, I know that my unemployment is coming although it is taking longer than I thought it would and for the moment I am broke as he**. Once my unemployment kicks in, I will have more money to pay on my credit card and I can foresee getting out of debt.

So it is with the national debt. We all have to sacrifice something to get us out of debt. When the money was pouring in, you were all happy but now that it is time to sacrifice a little to get us to the point we need to be, you sit in judgment and complain, criticize and whine. Well all I have to say is “do you want some cheese with that whine (wine) – would that make you feel better?

Simplistic I know but if every American donated a dollar a month to a “general fund” for the next two (2) years, how much of the national debt would be covered? Let’s try two dollars a month. My point is the debt can be covered. We are going through a difficult time, true but it is not like we can not recover from this difficult time if we all pitch in and allow for change to happen.

I have to borrow Michael’s words and say: “If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a….change!! This especially goes out to vrajavala the insane person who has become obsessed with my words. The demon in her refuses to accept what is real even though somewhere deep inside she knows what I say is based more on truth than the insanity she spews. This creates a battle inside of her and this is why her obsession is so strong. And remember change is a verb, an action word – no change comes without action. Change yourself vrajavala because you will never bring me DOWN to your level :o}

And that’s the way I see it!!!

Can Diplomacy Be Effective Against Insanity?

Published by truth2u under News, obama, politics Edit This

missile-launce.jpg

In an obvious show of defiance, North Korea launches a number of ballistic missiles as Americans are preparing their Fourth of July celebrations. This missile launch is in total violation of United Nations resolutions and on the heels of the United States attempts to gather support for tougher enforcement of the resolution based on North Korea’s earlier nuclear tests in May.

Towards the end of June, with the expectation that North Korea would attempt a long range missile launch directed at Hawaii, Obama had issued statements saying that the United States was prepared for anything this unstable regime may have up its sleeve. This preparation included the deployment of anti-missile defenses around Hawaii. However, North Korea looking for justification claims the United States deployed these anti-missile defenses as part of a plot to attack its regime and plans to bolster its nuclear arsenal in retaliation.

There is no dealing with irrational people and Kim Jong shows daily how irrational and bent on engagement he is. Where will this antagonistic attitude lead? What is in store for American’s as this very real threat plays out?

Meanwhile, just days ago, the North Korean ship the United States Navy had been tracking under suspicion that this ship could be carrying arms cargo, changed its course of travel and headed back towards North Korea where it started its journey. This was the first vessel monitored under the new United Nations rules that were designed to restrict the movements of the communist government after its defiant nuclear test in May.

Was this a bluff tactic to see if the United States would be bold enough to attempt to board the ship or to see if they had sufficiently intimidated the United States with threats of violence if their ship’s travel was interfered with? Was North Korea secretly hoping the United States would interfere so that they could justify an attack against the United States? While it is hard to say for sure what goes on in the head of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, it is safe to say he has the hope of engaging the United States in violence on his mind and is playing a game to provoke the U.S. into this violence by “whatever means necessary.”

On the other hand, in Iran, authorities there are attempting to paint opposition leader, Mir Hossein Mousavi and his supporters as enemies of the state and indicating that Mousavi and his supporters are in alliance with the United States. Iran’s leaders are requesting that Mousavi be tried for crimes against the state in his part in instigating the protests that have taken place since the election. These accusations come as Iran’s leaders attempt to cover up any remaining doubts about the legitimacy of the vote.

With Kim Jong showing obvious defiance while escaping with no real punitive actions taken against that regime, will that strength Iran’s resolve to increase their arsenal and begin testing of their weaponry? As the plot thickens and Iran and North Korea join forces in an unhealthy alliance of destruction aimed at the United States, my concerns grow and I wonder how can these issues be resolved with countries that show a total disregard to reason and diplomacy; countries that choose only to provoke and manipulate. Is war the only answer?

And that’s the way I see it!!!
