In a fake show, to appease the people of Iran and show that Iranian officials were seriously addressing the claims of voting fraud, a recount of a randomly selected ten percent of the vote was conducted, however after the recount President Ahmadinejad is still the winner according to the results released on Monday. A further conclusion was that there were few or no errors found in the original count of the votes.

While the government had repeatedly stated that there would be no new election, something that opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi had requested, the outcome of the recount could have been predicted based on the small percentage of votes that were recounted. With ten percent of nearly 40 million ballots cast, even if every one of the votes that were recounted were tallied wrong the recount would have still shown Ahmadinejad as the winner, which strongly indicates this recount was just for show.

Almost in the same breath, President Ahmadinejad ordered an investigation into the death of a woman protester, Neda, whose death was witnessed around the world as she lay bleeding in the streets. Ahmadinejad, knowing he could not blame the unarmed protesters for this act of murder, has instead shifted the blame of the death of this young woman to what he calls “unknown agents” that were possible “enemies of the nations.”

With this statement it appears Ahmadinejad hopes to shift the world view of its murdering government from victimizer to victimized, by outside entities. How then does he rationalize the other deaths and injuries, as well as the beatings recorded by protesters and viewed throughout the word?

All these lies and games in an attempt to show they are fair and reasonable people when the truth is obviously clear as they verbally attack President Obama for meddling in the affairs of their country simply because Obama spoke out against the reprehensible violence that was taking place against unarmed protesters.

At the present time nine British embassy employees are being held on suspicion of aiding protesters and encouraging dissention amongst Iran’s people, their fate to be determined by the courts of Iran.

With Iran’s credibility shattered as a result of this voting fiasco, how will America diplomatically deal with such a ruthless nation? How can the government of Iran expect to be believed in any negotiations with the United States on any level? Just how gullible does Ayatollah Khamenei and his puppet President Ahmadinejad think the American’s are?

Ayatollah Khamenei’s word is the final word in Iran and it is obvious that he uses President Ahmadinejad as his mouth piece, thereby eliminating his need to verbalize the lies that are spread regarding the incidents that have transpired in that country since the election. This, consequently, leaving his role as head cleric/spiritual advisor presumably in tact and untarnished.

However the truth is that even though he is not making the statements, his sin is still great in condoning the words and the actions. It is hard for me to understand his logic with the world knowledge that he, Ayatolloh Khamenei, is the ultimate voice of Iran and holds the title of “Spiritual Advisor with heavenly connections”.

It sickens me to witness the hypocrisy that is being displayed by this supposedly religious leader. What god does he really worship? It appears he worships the god of the under world as opposed to the God in heaven – the world does not have to accept the lies he feeds his people.

The Ayatollah has no power over world powers but he does not seem to understand this concept because he has experienced extreme and deceitful control, for so long, over the people in Iran and he shows that he feels this power extends outward to the world; that he can hide behind obvious lies and intense efforts to manipulate and the world will believe whatever he speaks as truth.

At this point, so wrapped up in his own narcissistic belief that he is powerful, he does not even recognize that he has lost credibility amongst his own people. He does not realize that while he has violently stopped the protests he has only increased the anger and as has been witnessed over the past few weeks, anger eventually boils over.

You can not keep a people down once they realize a truth and the actions perpetrated during this election process is a truth that has been brought to light in the hearts and minds of many Iranian citizens. Don’t give up, don’t give in, let not your voices be silenced for in that silence is bondage and bondage is not an option when freedom is what you want.

Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, June 30, 2009, for Farrah Fawcett. The beautiful actress died at the age of 62 after suffering severely from anal cancer. Her suffering lasted for two years as she courageously battled the disease that eventually spread throughout her body.

MSNBC did a documentary recording her battle with this disease and those who stuck by her during this hard fought battle. Ryan O’Neal, who truly loved Farrah was by her side during her journey to death and I admire his dedication to Farrah. True love seems so rare in today’s world but it was obvious that Ryan loved Farrah and had loved her for years.

I believe Ryan O’Neal was the true love of Farrah’s life and even though their relationship was on again, off again I know he truly loved Farrah as I watched him in the documentary giving her strength and tears as he watched her condition deteriorate and weaken her body. I’m sure the world does not seem the same for him since Farrah died. I am so glad for Farrah Fawcett, that she had true love in this life and a true friend, as well in Alana Stewart who remained by her side during this devastating illness.

I grew up watching Farrah Fawcett on “Charlie’s Angels” She was truly one of the beautiful people in life with her stylish hair, beautiful, ready smile and that Texas accent that she spoke with in Charlie’s Angels always acting like a little country bumpkin with serious consequences when you fell for the act.

Years later, her role in “The Burning Bed” was outstanding and I related to that story as though it were a page out of my life for I had considered that very thing, prior to that movie, at one point in my life and for the same reasons. I am glad that domestic violence is beginning to be viewed on the criminal level that it should have been viewed long ago.

I remember when she married Lee Majors, another actor I loved, back in the day, as he played the illegitimate son of Barbara Stanwyck in “The Big Valley” and Steve Austin in “The Six Million Dollar Man”. When they wed, I thought they were the perfect couple in terms of they were two outwardly beautiful people who looked good together. That turned out to be a short lived union however lasting from 1973 to 1979. Majors had nice words for her upon her passing, calling her an “angel on earth and now an angel forever”

R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett, you will be remembered!!!! Stay Strong Ryan and may you find peace in the face of sadness.

Let your anchor in life be truth. People are forever directing me to other blogs to read the words they have chosen as truth. However, what it seems they fail to realize is blogs are written by everyday people. Few are motivated by truth only opinion. Opinion, as defined by the dictionary is “the view somebody takes about an issue, especially when it is based solely on personal judgment.

Truth, on the other hand is a statement that corresponds to fact or reality. Now in order to form an opinion about something, you first have to have the truth about it because truth based on lies is not truth at all. In fact truth based on lies is manipulation which I see a hell of a lot of in today’s world and in a lot of the blogs I am directed to.

Manipulation is defined as an act to change or present something in a way that is false but personally advantageous. Those who are easily manipulated are said to be gullible. Gullibility is tending to trust and believe people, and therefore easily tricked or deceived.

This is where thinking for one’s self comes into play. Most things put forth are generally a mixture of truth and opinion. The key is to know what is true in order to discern what is opinion thereby lessening your gullibility and preventing you from being easily manipulated.

As I look around the world and see governments which are suppose to be designed for the benefit of the people yet the people suffer, living below the poverty level, inadequate medical care, unemployed, oppressed, without a voice of their own, while their leaders live a life in luxury and comfort, I have to ask how manipulated are the people. When I see a country like North Korea whose leader is a narcissistic dictator, I have to wonder how gullible the people are.

When I view the cover-up in Gaza and Iran as the powers that oppress the people fight hard to keep this oppression from the eyes of the world I feel I am witnessing how easily manipulated the people in these countries have been, how gullible they have been in following a leader that does not have their best interest at heart.

The Anti-Christ as many are beginning to refer to Obama as being giving false descriptions of what they claim are verses from the Bible to use as proof that Obama is indeed the Anti-Christ – however, these are opinions, motivated by the manipulative desires of the authors of such nonsense.

Rather than do a little research for themselves, people are inclined to believe what they read of others interpretations of the Bible. 1 John, chapter 2-4 discusses the antichrist as does 2 John, chapter 1 – “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”

According to this verse, there are many who are anti-christ in the word and have been throughout the history of the world since Jesus. Now unless you know the truth as it is printed in the Bible, it would be easy to manipulate you with words that are untrue like the words spoken in these blogs and forum threads that are claiming “Obama is the antichrist and I can proof it” – their proof is their words that they are quoting Revelations and anything else they can throw together to sound as though they are the true authority on the subject and their ‘opinion’ is the ‘truth’.

Again I reiterate, learning to think for yourself involves understanding truth and being able to decipher between truth, as you know it to be and opinion as used to manipulate. Now the other day, I got a rant from a guy who was down on God telling me that my belief in God was just that, a belief and he just happens not to believe, yet he tried to quote the Bible in reference to Obama saying he was “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” which is found in the Gospel of Matthew.

What I am talking about does not stop with religion, it relates to relationships, politics, friendships, work etc. There is not one amongst us who has not felt manipulated on one level or another in life however, the key is to learn from that encounter which does not seem to be happening as we become manipulated by one politician after another and enter into one relationship after another only to end up feeling used or being the user based on your knowledge that most people are easily manipulated.

Bernie Madoff was a master manipulator preying on the gullibility of many who obviously were not easily manipulated because they had achieved significant wealth and power yet, through lies he was able to gain their trust and manipulate them out of their cash for his own personal gain.

Politicians are manipulators by nature that is why each person needs to take the time to review the legislation placed before them before it is voted in as law. Do not rely on what other people say regarding the legislation, but instead, get your own understanding of the proposed legislation by taking the time to review it. It is easy to sit in judgment of anything or anybody but it takes an intelligent person to think for them selves based on truth.

Once you have an understanding of the legislation then you need to ask yourself are the objectives relevant and obtainable. While some may be obtainable, others may not be; then you have to ask yourself if those that are obtainable out weigh those that are not obtainable – you have to look at the total picture and decide if what needs to be obtained can be obtained.

As I watched the debate regarding the stimulus package, and now the climate legislation, I witness how with the stimulus package Republicans were calling the package ineffective however when asked to be specific they only came up with maybe 10 or 12 things that were truly ineffective yet, the way they expressed their dislike for the bill you would assume the whole thing was ineffective.

So it is with the climate bill. While I am not in total agreement with the bill, I do believe this bill is a step in the right direction. If they can come up with an alternative to that part of the bill that still allows for some companies to pollute the air but be penalized for the pollutions they emit while rewarding those that lessen their pollution, it would become a stronger bill because the key to the bill is supposedly to lessen the emissions that are affecting the environment.

The anti-christ is amongst us and has been, always, my worry is that like Bernie Madoff, one will rise up and captivate the masses who are too lazy to seek the truth nor the understanding as to how to discern the truth, but would rather follow those who have a personal agenda presented to you in the disguise of working in your best interest. Wise up people before the antichrist you are waiting for materializes and leads you to your self fulfilling prophecy of destruction and eternal damnation; which is where I see mankind heading.

The conspiracy theorists are coming out of the wood work in an effort to prove that Obama is not a United States citizen. More lawsuits are being filed, more “proof” is being located which supposedly definitively confirms the fact that he was born in Kenya.

While the fact that he was indeed born in Hawaii has been proven to the extent that he was able to run for president in the first place, was able to win the election and was able to be sworn in, has no consequence in dissuading the rumors by those involved in the attempt to show cause to overturn the election continue on their campaign.

With the events happening in Iran, the momentum has increased again to bring charges against President Obama’s legal eligibility to be president of the United States. They have not only “found” or manufactured a birth certificate with Obama’s name and birth date on it as well as a document from registration into school in Indonesia that states he is a Muslim. Then cite the fact that once a Muslim you can never change your affiliation with that religion.

This statement, in and of itself depicts the desperate measures those against Obama will take in their attempt to discredit him. This statement suggests that Obama does not have free will to decide, at any point in his life, to be anything other than the religion of his parents’ choice. This is a ridiculous assumption even if the documentation is real, being processed at the time he originally entered school as a child in Indonesia.

In October 2008, based on the number of requests made to the Honolulu Department of Health, Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics, Alvin Onaka verified that the Department indeed holds the original birth certificate and states they “have personally seen and verified” the original birth certificate. Yet, the rumors persist.

After, two rejections from the Supreme Court to dismiss appeals questioning Obama’s eligibility based on the premise that Obama’s father was Kenyan-born British citizen and Obama himself was born in Hawaii which made him have a dual “British-American” citizen, the conspiracy theorist have located this alleged authentic birth certificate from Kenya which shows Obama was born in Kenya and not Hawaii as previously proven.

I have to ask how popular is the name Barrack Hussein Obama in Kenya and could this document have been forged by those against Obama – those who constantly and consistently criticize his politics - or was it just paperwork filed by his father in an attempt to give Obama legitimacy in the home of his father. I also have to ask, what is the true purpose behind this obsession with Obama’s citizenship?

This is a citizenship that has been proven legitimate; or at least acceptable, by those given the “authority” to make the decision; yet, the conversation continues, as to whether Obama is, or is not a citizen. CNN did a story not too long ago regarding this matter confirming his eligibility as well as his birth certificate. Is CNN also involved in the “cover up” these radicals would have you believe is going on regarding Obama’s citizenship? View a copy of a birth certificate with the seal below (in light of this documentation those who are against Obama’s citizenship will say they have a document that proves Kenyan birth so obviously documentation is not the key).

These conversations are initiated through blogs that may seem credible, but are just written by everyday people, with an opinion, who would like nothing better than to see Obama out of office. Just how large of a network would it take, in terms of people involved, for the “illegal” placement of President Obama into office? Is the United States government involved in the cover-up of Obama’s citizenship?

How ridiculous are these claims against Obama and will they ever end. The timing of this latest attack is perfectly aligned with the situation in Iran. As the people of Iran protest the illegal vote in their country so too does America. Would these people, who are protesting the vote in America, be satisfied with the authenticating of the birth certificate of Obama?

No they would not, because Obama, under the care of his mother, the true United States citizen, lived in different places and even if she had not the obsession would not allow them to see what is real only what they want to be real and that is that Obama is not a United States Citizen even though he was “born” on United States soil; from the womb of an American citizen.

They have been all over the place with their accusations and with every rejection by the courts to hear the case they have added a new twist because they are on a mission to prove, by whatever means necessary, that Obama has no right to the office of Presidency. Is there something more behind this obsession? Is it simply they are true Americans protesting the rights of other “true” Americans, this is hardly the reason?

These are the same people that are spreading the idea that Obama is Muslim, a socialist, will bring America to financial ruin, all by himself – the rumors abound as bloggers are given voice. That voice does not have to be sane, rational or based on fact and the easily manipulated masses will jump on the bandwagon of deceit.

While I was not at the hospital when Obama was born, it is hard for me to grab on to the concept that a “black” man running for President of the United States was not thoroughly investigated prior to running for President and being sworn into office. This, in and of itself makes his citizenship believable to me.

While some are viewing Obama’s words as “getting stronger” towards the incidents that are taking place in Iran, I say he is still walking the tightrope of diplomacy with caution and dignity, which is, as it should be. While one reporter attempted to imply that Obama’s stronger words my have been the result of McCain’s comments by asking Obama, straight out if this were the case, Obama gave that winning smile and calmly asked “what do you think” as the audience of reporters laughed. How ridiculous was this question?

With the choices he has made since being in office, President Obama has shown that he is not a follower. He has shown his strength of character in taking the stances he has taken regarding the economy, closing Guantanamo Bay prison, calling “enhanced interrogation” what it really is – torture, and putting a stop to it, among other controversial decisions he has made since being in office. With these things in mind, why would he let McCain’s comments influence him one way or the other? Obama shows daily that he is a thinker, not a follower – open up your eyes to see and your ears to hear!!!!

I have to ask the people who are pushing Obama to say or do whatever in defense of the people of Iran – what would you have him do concerning this yet, unresolved situation in Iran? Is it truly his place to interfere in the election process of another country? Besides the acknowledgement that the display of violence perpetrated against the peaceful protesters in Iran is deeply troubling, that the United States is appalled and outraged and that he personally condemns the unjust actions and along with the American people mourn each life lost – what else is there to do or say?

Whatever the outcome in Iran, the United States will have to figure out a way to diplomatically deal with its leaders; leaders that have already and unrealistically latched onto the idea that the United States is meddling in their affairs.

Aggression is not always the answer – it seems as though, we as Americans, would know that by now, definitively, as we are locked in combat in foreign countries and spending billions of dollars in our belief in force feeding the world our democratic ideology. I would like to believe the words Marvin Gaye sang about so very long ago regarding the Viet Nam war – “war is not the answer for only love can conquer hate”.

While on some levels this concept is a work in progress, Obama is putting his best foot forward to accomplish this very thing in the world through his words. However, is time running out as we have previously allowed the crazies of the world to develop and enhance their arsenal of nuclear armament? Could we have done more to stop the collection of nuclear weapons in the hands of people we knew had malicious intent with their development of these arsenals? Is it just a matter of time before the apocalypse?

The “end world”, according to the Mayan Indians, is just around the corner, in the year 2012, and from the attitudes of Iran and North Korea and their nuclear arsenal coupled with their intent to destroy the United States; it may be our apocalypse that is drawing near. Will the past evil deeds and meddling nature of our country that people like John McCain, are so proud of, be the final down fall of this nation, as the world sits back and laughs at our misfortune.

Truth be told the negativity takes my breathe away as I reflect back to the beginning of the formation of this country and how it was taken from the Indians and built on the backs of slaves through cruel and violent methods used to overthrow and control two races of people. I sometimes feel that we as Americans have a rude awakening due us and as I look around the world I see the danger growing and intensifying and wonder if, in our arrogance, we have minimized the danger.

And that’s the way I see it!!!

After violence and death, following mass demonstrations over the presidential vote, in the streets of Tehran, Iran, another minor concession was made. Leaders in the region are prepared to initiate a partial count of voter ballots. The landslide win that Ahmadinejad has claimed is what called into play the implausibility of this election.

Thousands took to the streets yesterday in what turned into a violent protest regarding the fraudulent re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. This unprecedented concession and subsequent investigation shows that people are truly getting sick and tired of the corruption within government and that united they can make a difference.

While this in no way says that Ahmadinejad will be eventually removed from office based on the obvious fraud, it does, possibly, set up new guidelines for future elections held in that country. News coming out of the region is sometimes confused and at times I am not really sure of whether the people protesting are in favor of the present regime or supporters of his challenger, Mir Hossein Mousavi, who has asked his supporters to exercise self-restraint.

Early today, a restriction was placed on all media outlets which disallow media from sending any type of media pictures, back to their varied local or international offices that depict the street protests that are taking place. As in the situation that transpired between Israel and Gaza, this refusal to show the world what is really happening has a tendency to allow that region to relay the message they want to put out instead of what is really happening which is deceitful, in and of itself.

If the desire is to control what is viewed by the world of the situation there, what makes you believe the recount will show anything but what they want to show – that being that Ahmadinejad legally won the election.

Once the vote is recounted and “if” it is proved fraudulent, invalidating the election would also be unprecedented although the “Guardian Council” did not rule invalidation of the election out. How, in excess of 4 million votes were hand counted in such a short time is beyond my comprehension. This suggests to me that the vote was decided before the election even took place.

While the United States has a distinct stake in the outcome of this election, the election is essentially a matter best dealt with by those in Iran. It is an internal matter. This leaves the United States in a position of “wait and see”. Any type of intervention from the United States side could have deadly consequences. Not only that, the United States will need diplomacy to interact with whoever is in the position of Presidency in Iran and to choose sides in the middle of this turmoil could further alienate the United States from Iran especially if the United States chooses the wrong side to back.

The question arises as to how much deceit will the people, any people allow before it becomes a situation where they say within themselves “I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees” (Emiliano Zapata ?) before they unite and say “NO MORE!!!” The people in Iran have reached that point and we are witnessing where that frustration leads. I say POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

Like a bad penny Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin just keep turning up. Neither can seem to stay away from the news media. Recently, CIA Director Leon Panetta stated that Cheney seems to be “wishing that this country would be attacked again in order to make his point” – his point being that Obama is making the United States less safe than it was under George Bush’s rule.

Personally, I have to wonder why he is so intent on verbalizing this, every chance he gets. Does he really believe this? Is he still attempting to justify his and the Bush Administration’s use of torture as a definitive means of preventing terrorist attacks? Is he, as Panetta suggested, hoping that if he says this enough times, a terrorist attack will happen and he can then sit back and say “see, I told you so”. His behavior is bordering on obsession.

With North Korea threatening war if any of its ships are accosted on the water, the re-election of Ahmadinejad to the office of power in Iran and the intensive fighting that is occurring in Afghanistan and Iraq, it may be just a matter of time anyway before someone tries an attack on United States soil, but would this solely be because of Obama’s words and outstretched hand.

Cheney is citing the words of Obama as well as his deeds of reversing many of Bush’s initiatives, closing Guantánamo Bay and putting a halt to what is called “enhanced interrogation” methods – better known as torture as the leading cause of America becoming less safe because of Obama. Realistically speaking however, the United States is unsafe because of everything else happening in the world.

Earlier this year, Panetta fired a firm run by two psychologists who helped introduce waterboarding and other harsh forms of torture into the interrogation realm. It would seem as though even the CIA was against these outlawed methods of intelligence seeking. So again why is Cheney so verbal on this topic?

While Obama refused to allow Panetta to look into the matter of torture further, maybe, just maybe Obama should have allowed this approach so that charges, that would have stuck, could have been brought against Cheney. As it stands now, Cheney seems to feel empowered, justified, even, in his handling of the torture.

Palin on the other hand is desperate to stay in the consciousness of the American people any way she can. Now while she is charismatic and can inspire a crowd, as she demonstrated last year as McCain’s running mate, she needs to find a more positive forum to be brought into the public eye a forum of intelligence rather than bickering and fashion.

It seems that anyone can goad her into any type of dialogue because she is desperate for the attention. Somehow this does not seem a fitting characteristic to have as leader of a country as “great” as the United States, yet, on some levels she is, so far, the best the Republican Party has brought to the table in terms of energy and verbal skills.

Good or bad, Palin is who people continue to talk about and when the laughter starts, I’m not sure if they are laughing at her or with her – something she needs to evaluate for herself in the coming months.

Rush Limbaugh is getting more and more delusional as he tries to blame leftist and Obama for the actions of the extremist that murdered the guard at the Holocaust Museum earlier this week. While Rush sits daily attempting to inspire hate with his divisive rants and delusional point of view, he needs to take a look in the mirror, see the monster within and blame himself for stirring up dissention and stupidity in those who listen to his daily rants.

James Von Brunn, the Holocaust Museum murderer, is full of hate for everything and anybody who is not white like him, as is Rush Limbaugh with his rants that he hopes Obama fails, instructing Republicans to vote consistently against any and everything Obama brings to the table regarding the economy and irrational statements that Obama is more dangerous than al-Qaeda, among other things he blindly opens his mouth to say. Rush Limbaugh is a more likely candidate to place the blame on, in the blame game that is unraveling regarding this senseless assault.

With the steady rise in hate groups across America, fueled by the election of the first black President in America’s history, as well as the unstable economy, people are looking for anybody to blame for the madness and economic hardships they are experiencing. With people like Rush Limbaugh spewing out irrational ideology to the masses who listen to him and constantly attempting to place the economic situation on a man who has only been in office a few short months, my question becomes who is the real nutcase and when will people wake up to the realities that are smacking them in the face daily. Those realities do not include the stupidity that flows from Rush’s mouth.

While in both the murder of the abortion doctor, Dr. George Tiller, and the Holocaust Museum Murderer, James Von Brunn those individual people who pulled the trigger and killed are the ones ultimately responsible for these senseless crimes, hate has a way of eating away at your very soul and anyone who spreads hate through words is just as guilty as those that eventually pull that trigger.

The extreme depth of the hate and violent language used to criticize and circulate the lack of understanding and intolerance that stirs, in the weak minded individual, justification for the homicidal acts they commit, remains part of the problem. Hate feeds on those weak minded individuals, it consumes their souls to the point where the need to lash out physically becomes manifested in the violent acts they perpetrate. Instead of showing remorse they feel justified and glorified as do the extremist like the Taliban/al-Qaeda.

Yet, do those who verbalize this hatred, step back and view what they say as wrong, or even a contributing factor in the violence? No they continue, as in the case of Rush Limbaugh, to place the blame on others instead of recognizing that their words play a major role in these violent acts even stooping so low as to call those responsible “nutcases” and in so doing eliminating the need to look at how their words gave justification inside the mind of the nutcase.

The only real nutcases in this world are those who feed on hate and divisiveness such as Rush Limbaugh, militant anti-abortionist, al-Qaeda/Taliban militants, Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, skinheads and the likes.

While on some levels Black Separatists fall into this category because of the language, they do not, in most cases, spur the violence that these other organizations spur. They do not prowl the streets for victims to beat and kill solely on the basis of color, race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality or any level that inspires hate crimes. By no means am I trying to justify their behavior, although some of the dialogue is based on untruths and generalizations this dialogue is more to raise Black pride and as a means to regain all that has been stripped from them in the days of slavery to the present days of racism.

Get a grip people, the more we hate the more things stay the same. The more things stay the same, the more easily we hate. Like a crazed dog chasing his tail the circle continues and the violence increases. When will we learn and grow? When will hate end and tolerance begin? For me, “I’m still waiting, waiting on the world to change.”

It is said that observers at public hangings noted male victims developed an erection which sometimes remained even after death and occasionally they would ejaculate when being hanged.

An upshot to auto-erotic asphyxiation is the game played by children called the choking game in which these kids obtain a momentary “high” without drugs. This high comes from shutting off oxygen supplied to the brain; dozens of children, between the ages of 11 and 16, have died from this dangerous game over the years and this game is growing in participants.

Although as in the death of Michael Hutchence, INXS songwriter, David Carradine was found hanging in a hotel room and the initial determination was suicide; auto-erotic asphyxiation is now being looked at as well. I, for one, will always remember Carradine as the Kung Fu master, insightful, calm and able to defend himself and those he cared for who usually had a twinkle in his eyes and a smirk on his lips in interviews - maybe now I know what that twinkle and smirk may have been about. I’m not mad at him but I will miss him in the world.

Some things are better left private or at least left up to the family to disclose if they so choose. What has really been gained by full disclosure in this case before the family has even had time to grieve the loss. This has been a selfish attempt by the media to grab headlines. I just wanted to show that auto-erotic asphyxiation is not a rare occurrence and that it may happen more than you know. Show some respect for the man who has entertained you his entire adult life!!!!

Authors NOTE: June 8, 2009 - In reading more articles on David Carradine, I am finding more out about who he really was. His wife confirmed that he not only participated in deadly sex acts but he also participated in incest. These acts were mentioned in the paperwork when she filed for divorce. I felt humiliated for him when he was found in the manner he was found but now - the more I read about him - I feel the humiliation was his to bear even if it was in death. Kinky is one thing perversion is another and in my mind incest is over the line!!!!

What is happening to our youth and is religious diversity – which could be taught in schools – the answer to the violence and the bullying that takes place in schools today. I read a story yesterday on MSNBC which discussed the sexual attack perpetrated by three 14-year olds and one 15-year upon a 13-year old, in the Tampa, Florida area. The older kids are accused of holding this kid down and sexually assaulting the 13-year old with a broomstick and a hockey stick in the school locker room.

Something is definitely “wrong” with the hearts and minds of children today. I have to wonder if it is the lack of religion/spiritual awareness in the home which is corroding and corrupting the hearts and minds of youth today.

Now these kids where on the same flag-football team and the older kids had been harassing and bullying the younger teammate for at least two and a half months before this vicious attack happened. Where was the coach during this harassment? Who protects your children when they are at school?

School is supposed to be one of the safer places you send your kids to. Yet, it is turning into a breeding ground for inappropriate behavior which is leading to assault and murder and no one is talking the time to stop the madness before it gets out of hand.

While no one died in this specific incident, five lives are forever scarred by something that could have been prevented. The four boys accused of this crime are now facing four counts each of sexual battery. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison since the decision to try them as adults has been made.

The 13-year old who was attacked will have to carry the viciousness of that attack with him and the humiliation of the publicity with him for the remainder of his life and if he lives to be as old as I am – that’s a hell of a long time.

While it is the responsibility of teachers and coaches to teach, that should not be the extent of the care they give to children while they are under their supervision. Morality is slipping in our schools amongst teachers and students alike and our children are suffering the consequences of this loss of morality with no real protection against the violence that is being perpetrated against them.

Something needs to change in the attitudes of school Administrators and parents to prevent such violence from happening. When will you, as parents, stand up and proclaim “NO MORE”!!!

And that’s the way I see it!!!
