Israel’s Refusal To See The Light - But Partially Agrees To Ceasefire

An amazing sight over Gaza today was this beautiful rainbow seen over the northern Gaza Strip, from the Israel-Gaza Border on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

Could this be a sign from above?

Genesis 9:13, “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”

Genesis 9:14, “And It shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud.”

Genesis 1:15, “And I will remember my covenant, which (is) between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.”

Genesis 9:16, “And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting Covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that (is) upon the earth.”

Genesis 9:17, “And God said unto Noah, This (is) the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that (is) upon the earth.

As Militants agreed Sunday to a weeklong cease-fire in the fight between Hamas and Israel and Israel declared its own unilateral ceasefire, has God sent a sign from above, the symbol of his covenant with Noah and humankind; a sign of peace and longevity?

Although the ceasefire was not without conditions, it is up to Israel to make the final decision to be effective. Hamas’s Syrian-based deputy leader, speaking for the militant Palestinian factions said the ceasefire will give Israel time to withdraw and open all the border crossings to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Will Israel give in to these demands and do the very thing that created this violent attack and open up the borders. If Israel does open the borders, why couldn’t the state have done this in the first place instead of causing the deaths of 1,000 plus Gaza Palestinians and turned Gaza’s streets into urban battlegrounds.

Will Israel feel the presence of God in this beautiful display of His covenant to his people and all flesh upon earth? Hardly, Israeli security chief told Cabinet ministers the military operation is not over and the next few days will be critical in determining whether it will resume.

Although, more than a dozen militant rockets struck southern Israel ahead of the announcement from deputy Hamas leader, no injuries were reported.

The ceasefire is very fragile because, neither side wants to give in, which is evident in the demands made by Hamas for Israel’s immediate withdrawal and the opening of the borders and with Israel’s decision, which allows it to respond and renew fire at their “enemies,” the different terror organization in the Gaza Strip, as long as they continue attacking,”

In Gaza people began slowly to move towards their homes to see what was left standing after the vicious 3 week assault by Israeli military. Bulldozers began shoving aside rubble in Gaza City to clear a path for cars while medical workers sifting through mounds of concrete said they discovered 75 bodies in the debris.

In this battle, that has killed so many Palestinians and only 13 Israelis, the cease fire comes just days ahead of President elect Obama’s inauguration but before reaching a long-term solution to the problem of border opening and arms smuggling into Gaza and Israel’s insistence on keeping soldiers in Gaza raised the prospect of a stalemate between the two areas.

The way I see it is – No Justice, No Peace. Israel would be wise to negotiate the opening of the borders and freeing Gaza from its bondage or the world will be seeing more of the same in the days ahead.

And that’s the way I see it!!

I’m viewing this as a break. I highly doubt Israel is going to make the necessary concessions you talked about before Hamas continues attacking.
