Where Will You Be When Jihad Happens??
![]()
Messages from Bin Laden have surfaced calling for jihad against Israel and a condemnation of the Arab governments for preventing their people from acting to “liberate Palestine”.
Jihad by its very definition could take place anywhere in the world as well as, many places at the same time. Al-Qaida is a scary organization and the call for jihad an even scarier vibration because you never really know what is happening inside someone else’s mind. Al-Qaida could live right next door to you, living their lives as though they are just like you, going to work every day, taking care of family, doing yard work, silently waiting for the call, to enact the plan, which Bin Laden has just called for.
Is Al-Qaida really that organized? Does Bin Laden have any real control over the many militant groups in the world? Allusive Bin Laden - Is he even a real being or is he dead and gone from this world?
More importantly, what motivates a man like Bin Laden and what keeps that motivation alive for an eternity? Bin Laden has a knack for living in caves, eating with hands, hiding out but always making his presence known to the world while maintaining a wall of protection and loyalty around himself.
Just taking a closer look at the world we live in and knowing that the predictions for an “end” is coming in 2012, is giving me pause and forcing me to look at what could come of all that is happening in the world and the Middle East in particular. While some believe 2012 could be an end to life as we know it and a beginning of another “era” of existence, my concern is that with the hearts of some of the people in the world, it just may be an end to mankind or a significant number of them.
Diplomacy, the skill in managing communications and relationships between nations; the skill and tact in dealing with other people; it would seem to me that true diplomacy has never occurred in the efforts towards solving the unrest between Israel and Gaza and as a result of this lack of diplomacy those two are clashing with no end in site.
Neither wanting to give in or give up - how long will it last and how will it determine the safety of the people in the world who have, thus far, supported Israel and her controlling nature on the Palestinian people, the people of Gaza and ignored the “militants” who have protested continuously against Israel’s treatment of those people.
Jihad is a holy war waged by Muslims against infidels or non-believers, a struggle or striving by a Muslim for a moral, spiritual or political goal. The situation in Gaza has all the markings for a true jihad, a true reason for a jihad however, time will tell how much pull Bin Laden has and if the threat does not manifest itself into action this time - does it mean that next time it will not?
Hilary Clinton has said something to the effect that the world can not solve its problems without America and that America can not solve the problems of the world without the help of the world. A play on words yet, hopefully, in those words is the solution. For in these words is an indication of the totality of the need for all, in the world, to work together towards peace and that only in that joint effort will peace be achieved.
Will the world hear the message delivered by Hilary or is time drawing to an end? Do we have the time to pull it together before the call for jihad by Bin Laden is put into effect or is it, already, too late? What does the future hold? Unanswered questions are many.
And that’s the way I see it!!!
