Bush has just set into motion a short term fix to a long term situation to save the Big 3.  Although it has taken longer than it needed to take – in light of the fact that it was basically the same rules that Congress had come up with.   

This was just the drama needed to make Bush seem like a “hero”, saving the day, a positive memory of his term in office, part of his legacy.  Politics!!! 

Thank you, George Bush for your consideration in helping out all of those additional people who would have lost their jobs.  Thank you, for stressing those people out only to be able to throw them a life line and come off like the hero.
