Just Who Is The President

Published by truth2u at 9:42 pm under Ramblings Edit This

This is what I do not understand.  The people of America voted George W. Bush into office.  Yet, now that he has totally alienated the public, by things he has done while in office and the grave direction he has take this  economy; the public that voted him into office, that same public is, at this particular time, tired of him and his policies.  Now they want him out of office because the leadership he has shown and is showing even now, in these times of crisis, does not stand up to their approval; now you people can not wait until his term in office is over.

You want Obama to do something that you yourself would not do, you want him to try to step in and tell the President what to do.   You are attempting to push Obama into stepping in with more “control” over the situation.

Obama is not president yet.  He has all his ducks in a row, in terms of his cabinet members and he is waiting his time out.  When he is sworn into office, only then, will he be able to implement any of the things he is planning now, with his cabinet people.  He has told you the direction he will be moving in when he takes office.  He has his people working on the best solutions to handle what needs to be handled.  When he takes office legally, is when he has the authority to do or say what steps must be taken.

This is so unreal, this expectation that Obama should just step in, over the “President of the United States” and try to take over.  It is unrealistic for one, to assume that he has that ability.  Secondly, it is disrespectful for you to verbalize, with such indirect aggression towards “The President of the United States”, these undercover innuendos about how he is handling his job.

The man you people voted for is still in command and as you have seen from his behavior, in terms of this war in Iraq – not listening to anyone just doing it his way, even if Obama wanted to take over, Bush would not allow that because he is the “President of the United States.”

I can not believe I am a witness to this insanity.  Never in all my years of watching these elections from year to year have I seen this impatience, this show of total intolerance of the President, any President.

Bush won by the vote of the people, a preponderance of the votes the first time.  You saw what Bush was like in the first four years, but you re-elected him (although that was a little suspicious in Florida, where his brother was Governor and the way the vote went there) but he still got re-elected into office (and Florida is just one state so Bush still got quite a few votes either way you look at it).

If I were Bush, I would feel humiliated from the way the News commentators are commenting on my ability to function in a way that would start the ball rolling in the direction of change.

If I were Obama, out of respect, I would not want to push my way into taking over another person’s job especially “The President of the United States”; a man who is not really ready to relinquish the power in the first place.

We are where we are because of the vote that was taken, by the people.  It is what it is and it’s going to take a while to get away from this place.  The war in Iraq will take 3 more years – how fast do you think the economy is going to take to come back and what difference does 45 days make in the bigger picture.

Respect and accountability is what it’s all about, all of you who voted for Bush are accountable for this mess we are in so let’s show the “President of the United States” some respect and President “Elect” some understanding.

And that’s the way I see it!!!

Very interesting insight. I hadn’t viewed recent events in that light, but very insightful!
