Will The Lone Terrorist Of Mumbai See The Error Of His Ways

Published by truth2u at 7:52 am under News Edit This

I appreciated the comments on my article “Mumbai - Could The Horror Have Been Prevented”.  It got interesting and informative.  I am not a Christian extremist but I do believe the story of Christ.  I also believe in inner healing, sometimes, reincarnation, aliens, good and evil.

I also know the story of when Jesus walked the earth.  Even in those days, some people took the words of GOD to the letter of the law (that’s why there were those who were left with a bad taste in their mouth for the things that Jesus was saying and doing).  They had hardened their hearts on many levels.

Jesus was trying to show them another way to look at things, another way to deal in the world, with his parables.  Me, I am just trying to show another way through straight talk and truth.  Obviously, I have touched on some truth on some levels about the reasons for the unrest in the Middle East.

When I speak on hate, I am speaking from first hand knowledge.  I know first hand what hate does to the recipient of the hate, as well as how it makes the hater act and perform.  Regardless of the way you look at it, hate makes you irrational and aggressive.  Hate erases the ability to see things clearly.  Hate accomplishes nothing.

When terrorist attack, they are not seeing things clearly, when they live to see and go through the aftermath of their destruction they have the opportunity to re-evaluate the situation from the perspectives of other people living in the world but most times they are not affected by those truths either because they are too wrapped up in their own beliefs and hatred.

There was one lone survivor of the Mumbai attack, one lone member who claims allegiance to a Pakistani militant group.  Time will tell if he will ever see things clearly, although at this point, where there have been so many lives lost, so much destruction of property and so many injured,  I’m not sure it would make a difference to the world.

My hope is that the people of India attempt to see that while this lone member had ties to Pakistan, it does not mean that the Government of Pakistan was behind the plot.  While it is true that the Government is responsible, to a degree, for the area he governs, it is not possible to monitor the lives of every individual at every given moment.  However, It may be time for the Pakistan Government to take decisive steps in eliminating the negative element that has been using the Himalayan region of
Kashmir as a safe haven.

This effort to eradicate the negative element would be a sign of sincerity in the struggle for peace in the Middle East but, therein, lays the true extent of accountability in these acts of terrorism with the Government of Pakistan.  Unless there is irrefutable proof that the government was personally involved, then to place blame on the Government would be playing into the hands of the terrorist and helping them to achieve their goal of chaos, mistrust, and ill will.

Isn’t it time to heal yet, to put what has gone on before, into the proper perspective; the perspective of being the past and to move on to create a peaceful tomorrow where we can all live in this world without fear.  Isn’t it time to recognize, as a unified people, as opposed to individual tribes, that united we stand; a little taller, a little wiser, a little freer, a little happier and a little safer, whereas divided we fall and we fail.

And that’s the way I see it!!

    hi,
I agree to your observations , except the point where you say if a terrorist belongs to a certain country it does not mean he is supported by his government. Generally this is true , but in this particular situation it is not. Let me tell you the facts,
Since many years Indian Government is giving the Pakistan Government a list of persons allegedly involved with terrorism & action has to be taken against them. These persons are involved in the terrorist activities done in India in the last few years. These persons are openly moving about in Pakistan but the Government is not taking any action.
Indian Government has given Pakistan a list of places where terrorist training camps are organised by ISI, the Pakistan Government security agency. But Pakistan refuses to take action. Indian Government has proof of all these activities.
All these goes to prove that Pakistan Government is behind all these terrorist activities & openly protects terrorists .
